Who was that leader?
The name of the important character of this interesting story was NT Rama Rao. NT Rama Rao, a popular actor of Telugu films and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, wanted to enter national politics. He had a strong desire to become Prime Minister.
In the 90s, when the condition of Congress started deteriorating, NTR started feeling that he could become the Prime Minister and on the advice of an astrologer, he started wearing women’s clothes and sarees at night.
KC Tyagi mentioned this matter
Senior JDU leader KC Tyagi has mentioned this in his article written for Hindi newspaper ‘Navbharat Times’. He told in this article that NT Rama Rao wanted to expand his presence in politics, so he founded the Telugu Desam Party. He wanted to enter national politics, so he also appointed 2 Hindi teachers.
KC Tyagi wrote in his article, ‘In those days, there was a common discussion that on the advice of an astrologer, he (NTR) had started wearing women’s clothes at night with the desire of becoming the Prime Minister.’
NTR’s life was quite filmy. He was born on 28 May 1923 in a small village in Andhra Pradesh, where his guardian used to do farming. NTR also got the job of Sub Registrar, which he left for acting. NTR, once dedicated to acting, later became interested in politics and emerged as a public hero.
