Naveen Soni, President, Lexus India, said at the launch that the Lexus NX has been one of our most loved models in India due to its sportiness look, “We look forward to launching this new NX at the earliest and we are confident The NX is expected to set a new benchmark in the luxury market. The first-gen NX was launched in the global markets in 2014 and this model was added to Lexus’s India line-up in 2018. The company says that as of April 2021, it has sold around 1 million units of this SUV in more than 90 countries.
Engine options and gearbox
The outgoing NX 300h in our market consisted of a 2.5-litre petrol engine producing 155hp, mated to a 143hp electric motor for an output of 197hp. Power was transmitted to all four wheels through a 6-step e-CVT gearbox. On the other hand, Lexus India has revealed that the new NX 350h is packed with a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine that churns out 192hp of power.

This model also comes with a hybrid electric powertrain. Its 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine churns out 145 kW of power via a self-charging electric motor. At the same time, it can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 9.2 seconds, and its top speed is 180 km / h. It is worth noting here that the new NX gets many other powertrain options in the international markets. These include a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.4-litre turbo-petrol unit.
2022 Lexus NX 350h Price
Lexus India has announced that the NX 350h will be available in three trims – Exclusive, Luxury and F-Sport. However, the current model was also available in the same trim with a starting price of Rs 58.20 lakh. Notably, Lexus has expressed interest in assembling the NX locally in India. If the company decides to make the new NX here, it will definitely help the company bring down the prices for this SUV.
