According to information received from police sources, Rajendra Kumar Ram, 19-year-old son of Umesh Ram, resident of Semri village of Panapur police station area, was having a love affair with a girl from his own village. Fearing the family, the girl did the same. After this, they locked the young man in the house and beat him with sticks and badly injured him. On receiving the information, the relatives of Rajendra Kumar Ram took him to the local health center for treatment, where after first aid, he was sent to Sadar Hospital Chapra and later to Patna for better treatment.
Sources said that he died on Thursday during treatment in Patna. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members. After registering an FIR in the case, raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
