Artisans were called from Ajmer and Indore for decoration. The Mangilal priest of the temple committee said that the idol of Balaji Maharaj was established on the day of Samvat 1811 Shravan Sudhi Navami Saturday. This time the day of Navami has become a coincidence. And today on August 6, the 268th Foundation Day is being celebrated on Saturday. At night, a program of hymns will be organized in the temple premises by Saint Ratinath Maharaj of Shekhawati’s famous Bau Dham and members of the priest family. The fairs and other events in the temple are managed by Hanuman Seva Samiti. There is a legend about the establishment of this temple, which is as follows…
A Ginthala-Jat farmer was plowing his fields in a village called Asota in Nagaur district, on a Saturday in Shravan Shuklapaksha Navami, Samvat 1811. Suddenly, the sound of tonnage came due to the collision of something with his solution. When the farmer dug the soil of that place and saw, he found two idols soaked in the soil. At the same time his wife reached there with food for him and after seeing the idol cleaned it with her sari, it was the idol of Lord Balaji Lord Hanuman. After this, both of them bowed to him with reverence. The news of the appearance of Lord Balaji spread rapidly all around. This matter also reached the Thakur of Asota. It is said that Balaji himself came in his dream and ordered him to send this idol to the Salasar of Churu. On the same night, a great devotee of Shri Hanuman, Mohan Dasji Maharaj of Salasar also appeared in a dream of Balaji Maharaj.
In the dream itself, he came to know about the idol of Asota. After this, Thakur of Asota told about the idol through a message. Thakur was shocked to learn how Mohan Das ji came to know about this. After this he without delay sent that idol to Salasar. Today this place is famous as Salasar Dham.
