A embarrassing incident of dowry greed has come to light from Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, where the wedding ceremony caused a ruckus due to lack of bullet bikes. It is alleged that the groom’s side not only assaulted the bride side, but also escaped by looting the amount of invitation in the wedding ceremony. The matter has now been complained to the police on behalf of the bride side.
The bride’s side had already given seven lakh rupees
The incident is from village Jaganpur in Ajitmal Kotwali area of Auraiya district. Avnish Kumar here had decided to marry his daughter in Nagra village of Futa. He said that after the marriage was decided, the groom side had asked for Rs 7 lakh as dowry, which he had already given. A guest house was booked in Babarpur town for the wedding ceremony, where the procession was waiting with full pomp.
Bullet bike demand created ruckus
The procession arrived at the appointed time and the program started. The song-music and cuisine arrangements were going on that suddenly the groom side demanded a bullet motorcycle. When the bride side expressed his inability and asked for some time, the groom was enraged and turned into a ruckus.
CCTV assault and robbery incident
The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV cameras installed in the guest house. In the footage, it was seen that some people from the groom side fight and fight with the bride’s family members. It is alleged that after this, they looted a large amount of invitation that came to the marriage and ran away.

The bride’s father Avnish Kumar said, “We had given 7 lakh rupees to the boys before the wedding. The procession came on time and started getting vaccinated. Then the boys said that they want a bullet bike. We said that it is not now, give some time. The controversy increased and they started fighting. Also escaped with the money given by the guests who came to the wedding.”
Police started investigation, search for groom side continues
Ajitmal Kotwali police have registered a case on the complaint of the bride side. Based on the CCTV footage of the guest house, the police is now identifying the groom side. In preliminary investigation, it has become clear that the incident of assault and looting occurred in a dowry dispute.
