Agartala. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday announced that the state government will make the screening of Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri tax free. In a tweet, Deb said, “The Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri depicts the heartbreaking struggle and trauma of Kashmiri Hindus. To support his film and encourage the people of the state to watch it.” The Tripura government has decided to make it tax-free.”
‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in 1990.
Starring Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi, the film released nationwide on March 11.
