New Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party has finally given a big gift to Kailash Gehtori, who was an MLA from Champawat, who gave up his seat for the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami. In fact, the party has given a big responsibility to Kailash Gahtori and made Gahtori the chairman of the State Forest Development Corporation. Let us tell you that in the Champawat assembly by-election, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami badly defeated Congress candidate Nirmala Gahatodi. CM Dhami won the election by defeating Congress candidate by a huge margin of 55,025 votes.
Pushkar Dhami got 58,258 votes, while Congress candidate Nirmala Gehatodi, who claimed to defeat him in the election, had to be satisfied by just 3,233 votes. Let us inform that the counting of votes was done on 31 May under the by-election in Champawat Assembly.
Earlier, assembly elections were held in 5 states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand. BJP created history in Uttarakhand and came back to power. But Pushkar Dhami could not save his seat and had to face defeat. He was defeated by Congress leader Bhuvan Kapri from Khatima assembly seat.
