A total of 868 candidates had filed their nominations in this phase. Out of these, the nomination papers of 227 candidates were rejected after scrutiny. At the same time, after the withdrawal of 28 people, now 613 candidates are left in the fray. In this, maximum 25 candidates are in the fray from Sadar seat of Jaunpur. At the same time, 6-6 candidates are in the fray from Pindra and Shivpur of Varanasi. In this phase, 54 seats of Azamgarh, Mau, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Bhadohi and Sonbhadra will vote on March 7.
