Patna. The Congress has given its full strength in the Bihar assembly elections. While the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is meeting the people of the state through the voter rights yatra, the party has now also intensified the process of selection of candidates in the elections.
It is being told that Praniti Shinde and Devendra Yadav, members of the Congress Screening Committee, are coming on a three -day visit to Bihar. His visit will start from August 23 and will run till 25 August. During this time, they will discuss with potential candidates from different districts.
Bihar Congress media in -charge Rajesh Rathore said that in view of the preparations for the Bihar assembly elections, the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee will organize a meeting for the selection of possible candidates. Member of the screening committee, MP Praneeti Shinde and Secretary in charge of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee Devendra Yadav will hold a meeting in Sasaram on August 23, where possible candidates from Buxar, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Rohtas and Aurangabad districts will join and interact with them.
Similarly, he will reach Gaya ji on 24 August, where he will discuss with possible candidates from Gaya ji, Nawada, Nalanda, Jamui and Sheikhpura districts. After this, members of the screening committee will return to Patna, where on the evening of August 24, they will hold talks with possible candidates from Patna-1, Patna-2, Patna Nagar and Jehanabad districts. He informed that the state Congress has also informed the district presidents and executive presidents of the respective districts.
It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra started on August 17 from Sasaram in Bihar. The visit also includes leaders of the constituents involved in the India alliance. This 16 -day journey will pass through about 20 districts and there will be a full journey of 1,300 km. The journey will conclude with a big rally in Patna on September 1.
