CGST team has raided the house of Gutkha trader Jagat Prakash in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh. 6 crore, 31 lakh, 11 thousand, 800 rupees have been spent in the hands of CGST during the raid of 18 hours. The work of making paan is done in Jagat Prakash’s factory in Sumerpur area. During this, the CGST team also recovered paan worth Rs 80 lakh. According to media reports, Dayalpan is quite famous in the Bundelkhand area of Uttar Pradesh. People also like this paan a lot. Jagat became Dhankuber within a few days by doing gutkha business but he did not consider it necessary to pay tax on the income earned. The information of which came to CGST and raids were conducted.
Let us inform that during the raids, about Rs.6 crore 31 lakhs have been lost in the hands of CGST. On the other hand, the process of raiding the offices of Jagat Prakash’s relatives in Kanpur has also started. According to media reports, this is not the first time that action has been taken against a gutkha factory, but even before this, in the year 2011, the then DM G Srinivas took strict action against tax evasion and illegal businesses. After this action, the factory was locked for several months.
After this, in the year 2013, both the trading partners took different paths. Meanwhile, the brand was registered in the name of Dayal Gutkha, which became quite popular in Uttar Pradesh.
