New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attacked the Congress, saying that it never allowed the opposition to become strong. Drawing attention towards dynastic politics, he especially targeted the country’s oldest party. In response to the motion of thanks on the President’s address, PM Modi said, ‘Congress had an excellent opportunity of at least 10 years to become a good opposition, but in these 10 years it completely failed to fulfill that responsibility.’
PM Modi further said, “When the Congress itself failed, it did not allow capable individuals to emerge in the opposition… In the process of launching the same product again and again, the Congress has now reached the point of locking its shop. ” He criticized the Congress for focusing on dynasty politics and said, “Which family do we discuss? If more than one person in a family moves forward in politics through public support, we have never called it dynastic. We discuss dynastic politics where the party is run by one family.”

Continuing his remarks, PM Modi asserted, “The party which gives priority to family members, where all decisions are taken by family members, is dynastic politics. Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah do not belong to any political family. So, it is not so.” This is true in a democracy, where parties are handed over to a family. If 10 people from a family enter politics then there is nothing wrong in it.
