New Delhi. After Maharashtra, now you can get to see the plight of Congress in Goa. It is reported that 6 to 10 Congress MLAs may join the BJP camp. At present, the Congress has 11 MLAs in the Goa Legislative Assembly. Suppose if 10 MLAs join BJP, then Congress will be left with only one MLA, which will put the organization in a weak state in the state. On the other hand, the state president and in-charge of Congress has accused the BJP of luring its MLAs to their side. Let us inform that former president Girish Chodankar has alleged that three Congress MLAs have been offered Rs 3 crore to join BJP. On the other hand, BJP President Sadanand Tanawade has categorically rejected these allegations made by the Congress in the course of speaking to the media. He said that such allegations are completely baseless. We have not given any inducement to any Congress MLA.
At the same time, amidst the ongoing political turmoil in Goa Congress, Dinesh Gunddu Rao made a big disclosure saying that all this is being done by our leaders. He has alleged that some leaders of our own party are trying to weaken the organization by colluding with BJP. They are luring legislators. He said that all this is being done under the leadership of Michael Lobo and Digambar Kamat. He further said that keeping this situation in mind, Michael Lobo has been removed from the post of Leader of Opposition, as he has been accused of breaking the Congress. On the other hand, it has been claimed in some media reports that Digambar Kamat and Michael Lobo have shown rebellious attitude in Goa Congress unit.
Many MLAs came in his support. However, many Congress leaders are terming the reports of Digbara Kaam and Michael Lobo’s rebellious attitude as baseless. But, of course, the party leaders are trying to control this whole situation, but the roots of the crisis are now deep. Let us inform that this evening, Congress had called a meeting of all the MLAs, in which Digbar Kamat and Michael Lobo were absent, which clearly shows that the situation in Congress is not good at present. But, whatever happens now, it remains to be seen how the whole situation takes a turn in the coming days.
