Many states of North India are in the grip of severe heat. Heatwave is also going on in many districts of Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Chhattisgarh along with rising temperatures. Heavy rains are occurring in many other states of the country. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has again warned that the maximum temperature in Delhi will reach 47 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Due to severe heat and heatwave, an orange alert has been issued in Delhi from 11 to 13 June (Tuesday to Thursday).
Temperature crossed 46 degrees in Narela and Najafgarh
The temperature in the capital Delhi crossed 46 degrees Celsius on Monday. The local meteorological department said that on Monday, a temperature of 46.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Delhi’s Narela area. The temperature in Najafgarh reached 46.3. Amidst the rising temperature, heatwave conditions continued for the second consecutive day in many areas of Delhi.
No relief from the heat yet
In view of the scorching heat, an orange alert has been issued for three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department said that people are not going to get relief from the heat yet. In the coming days, the temperature in Delhi will reach 47 degrees. On Tuesday, hot winds will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometers per hour in Delhi-NCR during the day. Along with the heatwave during the day, the sky will also remain clear.
It is raining heavily in these parts of the country
Amid the rising heat, monsoon has arrived in many states of South India. Rains are falling along with strong winds in many districts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh. The effect of this monsoon is also being seen in many other states. On Tuesday, light rains occurred in Gandhinagar district of Gujarat. The weather of the city suddenly changed due to drizzle accompanied by strong winds. People got relief from the heat.
