Indore. Police have busted a gang in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. They used to loot empty houses. Police have seized about 31 kg of gold from the gang, which is said to be worth about Rs 20 crore in the market. All the arrested accused are said to be residents of Bijnor. Every day there were reports of thefts in empty houses in various areas of Indore. Police were very alert about the matter.
When the police started looking for the people involved in these crimes, they found some suspicious people involved in them. These were the people who would first do a recce and then carry out the crime. The police searched the CCTV footage of various areas and succeeded in getting close to some people.
According to the police, they caught Mehboob Hamid, Mohammad Riyaz, Mohammad Salman and Hina Khan, residents of Bijnor. When these people were interrogated strictly, they confessed to committing the theft. The police recovered gold worth Rs 31 lakh from them. These accused have also admitted to committing theft at a total of 10 places.
There have been incidents of theft in many areas of Indore in the recent past and the police have been looking for such people for a long time. The gang members have told that they used to live in rented houses and work in salons and restaurants, the police of Tejaji Nagar, Rau, Rajendra Nagar and Aerodrome police stations are continuously interrogating these accused.
The accused have told the police that they used to first gather all the information about the houses they targeted. After that they used to execute their intentions. They used to run away to Bijnor with the goods found in the house and after disposing of the stolen goods, they used to return to Indore. It is likely that these accused have admitted to committing 10 thefts right now and there can be bigger revelations in the future.
