Even today, there are many areas of India where basic facilities are lacking. However, sooner or later those tax benefits are now arriving. One such area is ‘Gyu Village’ located in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. This area is connected to mobile network for the first time. On Thursday, when Gyu village was connected to the mobile network for the first time, PM Modi also talked to the residents over phone. PM Modi talked to the people of Gyu village on phone for more than 13 minutes.
Speed up Digital India campaign – PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a phone conversation with the people of Gyu village, talked about his visit to the border area during Diwali. He said that connecting villages with mobile networks will give impetus to the Digital India campaign. PM Modi told the people that after getting success in the campaign of electrification, now the government is working on priority to connect all the places with communication technology.
Didn’t think this would happen – Villager
There was no limit to the happiness of the villagers after connecting to the mobile network of Gyu village. While talking to PM Modi, a villager told him that he did not believe that his area would be connected to the mobile network. The villager said that earlier he had to travel a distance of about eight kilometers to use his mobile phone.
These areas were left to their fate – PM Modi
PM Modi said that when he took over as Prime Minister, there was shortage of electricity in more than 18,000 villages. Previous governments had left these areas to their fate. PM Modi said that after giving priority to the ease of living of the people, he will focus on the quality of life of the people in his third term and this will greatly benefit the remote areas, the poor and the middle class.
