Hong Kong has decided to give away free air tickets and vouchers to attract more and more tourists. Hong Kong is seen as a major financial hub of the world. During the Corona epidemic, it almost adopted China’s strict ‘zero-covid’ policy. Also, it had delayed the relaxation of Covid norms as compared to countries like Singapore, Japan and Taiwan. Hong Kong reopened its borders with the Chinese mainland in January, although tourism has not boomed.

Fred Lam, CEO of the Hong Kong Airport Authority, said, “We hope that those who get free air tickets will also bring 2-3 friends or relatives with them. We are only giving away 500,000 air tickets although we believe it can help bring more than 1.5 million tourists to Hong Kong.”
