While talking to Local 18, Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Paras told that the botanical name of Bahera is Terminalia bellirica. Along with Bahera, it is known by many other names like Bahera, Finas, Bauri and many more. Baheda is an ancient Ayurvedic medicine, which proves to be very beneficial for health. It has many properties, which promote good health. Along with stimulating and calming properties, it also increases immunity. Its consumption helps in reducing cough, cold, fatigue and stress. Apart from this, it is also helpful in improving mental condition.
How to consume Baheda
Dr. Paras told that eating Baheda and sugar mixed in equal quantity improves eyesight. Grinding its bark and mixing it with honey and applying it provides relief from eye pain. Its oil is very nutritious for hair. This makes hair healthy and strong. Its consumption is beneficial in asthma and cough. Licking the powder of its bark with honey also cures hiccups immediately.
