Dr. Vidya Gupta, Home Science Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Niyamatpur, said that potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, carbohydrates, zinc, energy, protein, fiber, iron, vitamin B6, calcium, fat and sodium are found in good quantities in barley. Which is very helpful in keeping us healthy. By making powder of barley grains and green plants and using it, we can avoid many health related problems.

Due to the antioxidants found in barley, it increases immunity. Barley also provides relief in depression and insomnia. Barley is effective in thinning the blood and maintaining better blood flow. This provides relief from diseases related to heart disease. Consuming barley relieves body fatigue. Removes physical weakness.
