Mohammed Rizwan: Pakistan cricket team is currently on a tour of Ireland, where preparations are being made for the T20 World Cup 2024. Ireland had given a crushing defeat to Pakistan in the first T20 International match, due to which Pakistan was in danger of losing the series, but by winning the next match, Pakistan has equalized the score. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan once again played a match winning inning for his team. After the match was over, Mohammad Rizwan also commented on former Indian team captain Virat Kohli.
Ireland had set a target of 194 runs for Pakistan
In fact, when the second T20 International match between Ireland and Pakistan started, Ireland, batting first, scored 193 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. That means Pakistan needed 194 runs to win this match. Chasing such a big score in T20 cricket is not an easy task. When the Pakistani team came out to chase the runs, opener Sam Ayub was out after scoring only 6 runs. After this, captain Babar Azam returned to the pavilion without playing his account. Due to the early fall of two wickets, the team seemed to be in trouble. But then Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman took charge. While on one hand Rizwan played an excellent inning of 75 runs on 46 balls and was not even out, on the other hand Fakhar Zaman scored 78 runs on 40 balls. What happened was that Pakistan won the target of 194 runs in just 16.5 overs and the series was tied.
Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman won the match
Now if we talk about T20 International cricket, after former Indian team captain Virat Kohli, Mohammad Rizwan is the second player whose average in this format has become more than 50. When Mohammad Rizwan was talked to after the match, he not only talked about the match but also expressed his views on coming close to Kohli in terms of average. Rizwan praised Ireland wholeheartedly. Said that Ireland played really well, so they have to be given credit. Chasing 194 is not easy, as Ireland know the conditions. After this we decided to attack and that is why we were successful. You always feel pressure when we lose. I don’t look at my numbers, if you look at the averages, you are an average player. It is better if we look at the situation and circumstances of the match.
Rizwan said, learned a lot from Kohli
Commenting on Kohli, Rizwan said that he is a good player and we have learned a lot from him, I respect him. Let us tell you that till now Virat Kohli was the only player in T20 International whose average was above 50. Kohli has so far scored 4037 runs in T20 International by playing 117 matches. His average is 51.75, while Rizwan’s average is now 50.38. Rizwan has scored 3124 runs after playing 95 matches.
