Ingredients for making Shahi Tukda:
10 breads, 1 liter milk, 2 cups water, crushed cardamom, cashews, pistachios, saffron, almonds, one cup ghee, sugar – according to taste
Method for making Shahi Tukda:
-
Step 1: To make Shahi Tukda, first of all put the milk to boil in a pan. When the milk boils, add cardamom powder and saffron to it. Boil the milk till it becomes rabri. Let the milk cook on low flame. When the milk becomes very thick, then add cashews, pistachios and almond pieces to it. Add sugar to the rabri as per taste. Rabri becomes sweet after cooking, so add less sugar. Now take out the rabri in a vessel and keep it aside.
-
Step 2: Now in the next step we will make syrup. Put 2 big cups of water in a big vessel on the gas. Add sugar to this water as per taste. As soon as the water boils, add saffron to it. When the syrup becomes thick, turn off the gas
-
Step 3: In the third step, take 10 breads. Cut the brown edges of the bread. Now cut the bread in triangle shape. Now turn on the gas and place a pan on it. Put Desi Ghee in it. When the ghee gets hot, put these breads in it and deep fry them from both the sides and keep them in a vessel.
-
Step 4: Now in the last step, dip the fried bread in sugar syrup for a minute. Now arrange the bread slices neatly on top of each other in a serving dish and pour milk rabdi on it. Now enjoy the delicious Shahi Tukda made by your own hands.
