The first apple orchard was planted in Madavg in 1953
Earlier, farmers in Madavg used to cultivate potatoes, but between 1953-54, the first apple orchard was planted here. People here were encouraged to cultivate apples. Gradually, the whole village started cultivating apples and Madavg started producing excellent apples. After the year 2000, Madavg apples got special recognition not only in India but all over the world.
