Damage due to closure of shops and showrooms across the country
The condition of business-industry is poor due to Corona. In such a situation, the orders of Lagansara have also been lost to the traders. Good purchase of jewelery is done on Akshaya Tritiya on Friday. Due to the situation of lockdown due to corona infection, business will come to a standstill on Akshaya Tritiya in many states of the country.
In big metros including Surat, Mumbai, jewelers are suffering a lot due to the closure of shops and showrooms due to Corona. The hopes of jewelers have been dashed due to the extension of the lockdown by the Maharashtra government. Last year also, during the days of Akshaya Tritiya and Lagansara, the business suffered due to corona and this time also the jewelers have been disappointed due to the same situation. According to Hindu tradition, buying anything on Akshaya Tritiya festival does not spoil it, that is, it never expires. That’s why on a large scale people start new things on the day of Akshaya Tritiya and buy gold-silver, houses etc. But for the last 2 years due to Corona, the purchase of jewelery etc. has come to a standstill.
This year, in the month of Baisakh, due to non-starting of purchase of Lagansara, the arrival of workers has also decreased. Last year, the demand for gold had come down to 63 tonnes during the June quarter, while this year it is expected to reach even lower.
