New Delhi. Today is the fourth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal ji achieved a lot of success in politics as a poet, politician. Along with this, his journey from Jan Sangh to BJP and then as PM of the country has been such, for which many examples are given today. His attempt to improve relations with the neighboring country Pakistan is also seen as an example today. The incident of his bus journey from Delhi to Lahore is counted among historical events. In the year 1999, when the then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee reached Lahore from Delhi in a bus. Many other stars also accompanied him in his journey.
Vajpayee ji a good poet and journalist
Atal ji was a very good orator and his speech style was very good. He used to mesmerize the audience with his speech. Vajpayee ji was a good poet, and also a journalist. He always laid emphasis on education, language society and literature. He was one of the founders of BJP. Atal ji reached Parliament for the first time in the year 1957 by winning the election from Balrampur parliamentary seat on Jana Sangh ticket. From 1996 to 2004, he became the Prime Minister of the country thrice. After this he was the Prime Minister for 13 days in 1996, then 13 months in 1998 and for a full five years from 1999 to 2004.
PM paid tribute on death anniversary
On the death anniversary of Atal ji, many dignitaries including President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have paid tribute to him by visiting his graveyard ‘Sadaiva Atal’. The name of former President Ram Nath Kovind is also included in those who paid tribute to Vajpayee. Apart from these, BJP President JP Nadda and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid floral tributes to their favorite late leader by remembering him on his death anniversary. Let us tell that on 16 August 2018, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji passed away after a long illness. In view of the contribution of Atal ji, he was honored with India’s highest civilian decoration ‘Bharat Ratna’ in the year 2015.
