A new player has entered the electric two-wheeler segment in the Indian market today. Pune based electric vehicle manufacturer Tork Motors has today launched its new bike Tork Kratos in the domestic market. Adorned with a very attractive look and a strong electric motor, this bike has been introduced in a total of two variants. The starting price of its base variant has been fixed at Rs 1.08 lakh and the top model Kratos R is priced at Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Please note that these prices include FAME 2 as well as state subsidies.
Let us tell you that after almost 6 years of hard work, this bike has been officially launched for sale. The company introduced the concept version (T6X) of this bike to the world 6 years ago. With the launch, the company has also started booking this bike, which you can book through the company’s official website.
The Kratos electric bike is powered by an all-new frame that is equipped with an Axial Flux motor and an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. The company claims that its motor generates the best power in its segment, which comes with an efficiency rating of 90 to 96 percent. Despite the heavy battery pack being used, this bike comes with a ground clearance of 165 mm.
Power Output of Tork Kratos:
The electric motor of the standard model of this bike generates peak power of 7.5 kW, while the motor of the top model Kratos R generates power up to 9 kW. In both the models, the company has used a battery pack of 4 kWh capacity. It is being claimed that this bike will give a driving range of 180 km (IDC range) in a single charge and 120 km in the real world.
The battery of this bike gets charged up to 80 percent in just 1 hour and in 1 minute charge you can drive the bike up to 1.5 kilometers. This bike is also very special in terms of pickup and power, the company claims that the Kartos can accelerate up to 40 kilometers per hour in just 4 seconds and the Kartos R bike catches the speed of 40 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds. The base model has a top speed of 100 km/h and the top model has a top speed of 105 km/h.
