Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP’s (Deloitte India) new Campus Workforce Trends 2024 study shows that attrition rates among MBA graduates in the country are on the rise. This trend remains a major challenge, especially among MBA graduates. According to the latest study by Deloitte India, overall attrition rates across the country for new entrants and top-tier campuses in one and two years have been 21 per cent, 26 per cent and 28 per cent respectively.
Innovative behavior is no longer optional
According to the news, Deloitte India Director Nilesh Gupta said that this year’s study reveals the serious need for organizations to rethink their concept strategies. Especially for MBA graduates, where the attrition rate is alarmingly high. Innovative behavior is no longer optional but has become a necessity to retain top talent in a competitive market. He said that educational institutions need to equip students with versatile skills to succeed in the digital age.
Importance of MBA graduates in business success
Despite high attrition rates, 70 percent of organizations actively seek MBA graduates, indicating their importance in business success. The study also revealed that internships and pre-placement offers (PPOs) by organizations have declined by an average of 10 per cent and 26 per cent respectively.
The Deloitte India Campus Workforce Trends 2024 study is based on an extensive survey. It has been prepared on the basis of data from more than 190 organizations and 500 premises. Every year in India, lakhs of MBA graduates pass out from colleges and universities across the country.
