Shikha, who holds a master’s degree in commerce from Lucknow University, says that even after getting her master’s, she is struggling to find a job. Because of this she is expressing her protest. In Lucknow, for the last 120 days, 36-year-old Lucknow Shikha Pal has been living on a tank near the Directorate of Education in Nishatganj Extension area. Shikha says that out of those 69000 vacant seats, the government should include them in those 22 thousand seats which are lying vacant. Shikha says that even after doing her masters, she has to wander to get a job. Shikha says that she is not leaving her place except to go to the toilet. While protesting, the people living below give her food and other things with the help of a rope.
Shikha is also ready to teach in the primary school run by the Education Department. Shikha says that she has been protesting for the last 120 days, but till now the information of her protest has not been taken by the government. Talking about this, Director General of School Education Anamika Singh said that she has met us many times and she has also told us many things. We sympathize with him and are ready to talk. However, this is not the right way to protest.
