Patna After the departure of RCP Singh from JDU, the politics of Bihar has heated up. Once again all is not looking well between JDU and BJP. Speculations seem to be from ‘Khela Hobe’. Some news that came on Sunday night has also given strength to this speculation. The first news came that Bihar CM and JDU leader Nitish Kumar spoke to Congress President Sonia Gandhi over the phone. The Congress has 19 MLAs in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Whereas, the number of JDU MLAs is 45. Right now Nitish Kumar is handling power along with 77 BJP MLAs. In terms of numbers, they will also need the support of RJD.
After the flying news of talks with Sonia Gandhi, another news came that Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of his party MLAs on Tuesday. JDU MPs have also been asked to reach Patna today. On the other hand, RJD has also called a meeting of its 79 MLAs tomorrow. There has also been a reaction from JDU and BJP regarding the political turmoil in Bihar. JDU’s national secretary Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that we have made an alliance with BJP sincerely. Now it is the responsibility of BJP not to let the alliance get infected. He said that the signals being received from the BJP are not good. Rajeev Ranjan said that RCP Singh created wealth illegally, but the BJP, which spoke big things against corruption, remained silent. He said that no one knows what will happen tomorrow in politics. At the same time, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal said that only he can tell what is going on in JDU.
Let us tell you that there were speculations of sourness between BJP and JDU ever since RCP Singh was made a minister in the Modi government. If we look at the developments of the last one month, Nitish Kumar kept a distance from many programs of the central government. He did not attend Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting on 17 July. The former President did not even attend the farewell banquet of Ram Nath Kovind. Nitish did not even attend the swearing-in of the new President Draupadi Murmu. He was also missing from the meeting of NITI Aayog yesterday. Let us tell you that Nitish has already run the government with the RJD and Congress’s grand alliance after separating from the BJP.
