New Delhi. Devraj, a class 10 student who was injured in a stabbing incident in Udaipur, Rajasthan on Friday, died today during treatment in the hospital. Devraj was admitted to the city’s MB Hospital, where he was in the ICU. Meanwhile, in view of the possibility of chaos after the student’s death, security has been tightened outside the hospital and at many other places in the city. Udaipur collector Arvind Poswal and SP Yogesh Goyal have themselves reached the hospital. Let us tell you that on Friday, a student from a special community studying in class 10 in the Government Higher Secondary School located in Bhattiani Chowhatta of Surajpol police station area of the city stabbed another student.
After this incident, people from Hindu organizations gathered and started creating a ruckus. Since both the students belonged to different communities, the protest turned into communal violence. People created a ruckus in Udaipur’s Chetak Circle, Ashwini Bazaar, Hathipol, Bapu Bazaar and Ghantaghar areas and closed the markets. After this, the protesters started vandalizing many shops and shopping malls. Not only this, many vehicles parked in the parking lot were also set on fire. The police imposed Section 144 and as a precaution, mobile internet was banned in the city for about 48 hours.
The next day of this incident, on Saturday, the district administration took action and demolished the illegal house of the accused student with a bulldozer. Currently, the accused student has been sent to a juvenile home by the Juvenile Court while his father has been sent to jail by the police. The police also got hold of a social media chat of the accused student in which he was talking about killing the student with one of his friends.
