Weightfilter disappeared while training, police engaged in investigation
Osaka, July 16 (IANS) | A Ugandan weightlifter who was training before the start of the Tokyo Olympics in western Japan has suddenly disappeared. According to a Yahoo Japan report, authorities are looking for 20-year-old Julius Sekitoleko, who accompanied the Ugandan contingent, to a training camp ahead of the Olympics in Izumisano on the Osaka Peninsula.

Sekitoleko had also failed to show the report of the daily PCR test. After that he was not found in the hotel room. In a statement, Izumisano said, “A member of the Ugandan team has suddenly disappeared and has not been reached. We are trying our best to find him. Police have also been informed about this.” The Ugandan contingent was one of the teams that had already reached Japan for the Tokyo Olympics. The Olympics will be held from 23 July.
