It was supported by 322 MPs out of 450. Now the property will be confiscated, including the cancellation of official visits, meetings and land purchases of these Russian officers.
Six other countries imposed restrictions
The big countries of the world have stepped up efforts to stop Russia. In the last 24 hours, apart from the US, Britain, Canada, Japan, Australia and Germany have announced economic sanctions on Russia.
Canada has banned Russian banks and Australia has banned Putin’s top advisers. Australian PM Scott Morrison has expressed fears that Russia may launch an all-out attack on Ukraine in the next 24 hours. Earlier on Tuesday, US President Joe Biden announced new sanctions on two Russian financial institutions, the VIB and the Russian Military Bank. It also announced the removal of parts of the Russian economy from the international financial system. “Undoubtedly Russia is attacking and President Vladimir Putin is provoking an invasion of Ukraine,” Biden said.
