These four ministers will leave
Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and General (retd) VK Singh will travel to neighboring countries of Ukraine to coordinate the evacuation mission and help the students, government sources said.
The Central Government has started Operation Ganga to bring back stranded students and Indian citizens from Ukraine. In addition, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine today informed that the weekend curfew in Kyiv has been lifted. The embassy said that Ukraine is running special trains for evacuation via railways and all students have been advised to go to the railway station to travel to the western parts.
Government revises travel advisory
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday revised its international travel advisory, providing several exemptions to Indians being evacuated from Ukraine. Indians being deported from Ukraine are exempted from uploading mandatory negative RTPCR test and vaccination certificate as well as documents before departure on the Air-Suvidha portal.
In a statement, the ministry said that if a passenger is not able to present the pre-arrival RTPCR test or has not completed his/her COVID-19 vaccination, they will be required to self-monitor their health for 14 days after their arrival in India. It is allowed to submit your samples with advice. As of 28 February 2022, 1156 Indians have come to India from Ukraine, out of which none of the passengers has been kept in isolation.
