It’s been 44 days since the war between Ukraine and Russia began. Russian soldiers who wreaked havoc in Ukrainian cities may soon return to their homeland. The Kremlin said on Friday that its “special military operation” in Ukraine could end in the near future as its objectives of attacking Ukraine are nearing completion.
When will the ongoing world war between Ukraine and Russia end? The eyes of the whole world are fixed on this. Despite all the sanctions, Russia has not stopped the destruction of Ukraine’s soil. The scenes of the devastation caused by the Russian army in the cities of Ukraine are now coming to the world. The whole world is shocked by the pictures of the massacre in many cities including Boocha. On Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine could end in the near future and that Russian troops could be withdrawn as its objectives in Ukraine were being met.
Russia also spoke on suspension from UNHRC
Dmitry Peskov further said that Moscow understands the pressure on countries that tried to adopt a balanced approach by not voting in favor of Russia’s suspension from the UNHRC. Russia’s remarks came a day after the UN General Assembly suspended Russia from the UNHRC over reports of “gross and systematic violations and abuses of human rights” in the Eastern European nation.
The UNGA voted two-thirds in favor of removing Russia from the global rights body. In the resolution introduced by the United States, 93 countries voted in its favor. Whereas 24 votes were against the motion and 57 abstained from the vote. India was among the countries that refrained from voting on the resolution.
Russia denies air strike on railway station
On Friday it was reported that at least 30 people were killed and more than 100 were injured when two Russian rockets struck Kramtorsk railway station in eastern Ukraine. Reportedly, the station was being used to evacuate residents amid the Russo-Ukraine War. On this Russia has said that it is not responsible for this attack. Russia called it propaganda being spread by Ukraine.
