UP Assembly Elections 2022 Voting ended by 6 pm in 58 seats in 11 districts of western UP. However, the complete vote percentage has not yet been released by the Election Commission. But by 5 pm in Meerut, 55:70 percent polling had been completed. Tight security arrangements were made in the sensitive and vulnerable areas. In Meerut, 55.70 percent polling has been recorded in the city and countryside till 5 pm.
Voting began at 7 am in 7 assembly seats of Meerut. In Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Bulandshahr and Hapur, more than 60 per cent people cast their votes till 5 pm, while Ghaziabad and Noida, adjoining Delhi, saw the lowest turnout at 54.77 per cent. BJP leader Shrikant Sharma cast his vote in Mathura while Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan Umbrella and Kapil Dev Aggarwal cast their vote in Muzaffarnagar. Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) President Jayant Chaudhary did not reach Mathura to cast his vote due to being busy in election campaign in Bijnor but his wife cast her vote. In the Yogi government, Sugarcane Minister Suresh Rana exercised his franchise in Thana Bhawan and claimed victory in all 58 seats.

According to the information received from the Election Commission, 56.61 in Agra, 57.25 in Aligarh, 61.35 in Baghpat, 60.50 in Hapur, 60.52 in Bulandshahr, 54.77 in Gautam Budh Nagar, 54.77 in Ghaziabad, 58.51 in Mathura, 58.52 in Meerut, 62.14 in Muzaffarnagar and 61.78 in Shamli. Percentage voter turnout. Voting will continue till 6 pm. It is worth noting that in the first phase of 2017 assembly elections, 64.22 per cent voter turnout was recorded in 73 seats as compared to 58.62 per cent in 2012. In Suratpur Kala village of Khurja assembly constituency, voting could start after about three hours due to a technical fault in the machine, while in Nagla Bhud village of Dibai police station area, angry villagers boycotted the voting due to non-construction of road and bridge. However, after persuasion by the officials and BJP candidate CP Singh, the villagers agreed at around 12 noon and voting started.
