Dalit population will prove to be decisive in the second phase of polling. Although the population of Muslims cannot be underestimated either. But in the belt of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Dalit voters have a decisive role in the Dalit Voters’ Decisive Role. In the last elections also, Dalit voters have been making uproar in these seats. Especially in the belt of Saharanpur and Moradabad. Let us inform that in the second phase, voting is going on in 55 seats of Bijnor, Saharanpur, Amroha, Moradabad, Sambhal, Bareilly, Rampur, Shahjahanpur and Badaun of Western Sub.
Earlier, in the first phase, the first phase voting has been done in 58 seats in 11 districts of Western UP. After the first phase, the second phase is considered very important. However, till now the voters have neither opened their cards nor broke the silence. This phase is quite important for the parties as compared to the first phase considering the majority of Dalit and Muslim population in these 55 assembly seats. In these 55 seats, Dalit voters are in a decisive role in more than 20 seats. Whereas in more than 25 seats there are Muslim voters. In this sense, the number of Dalit and Muslim voters will prove to be very decisive in this second phase of voting. This time the position of the alliance i.e. SP and RLD SP & RLD is being considered strong. These 9 districts are also farmer dominated. Farmers in these districts are seen angry with the BJP. In 2017 there was a Modi wave in Western UP. As a result of which all the parties were blown away in the storm of BJP. The BJP had created communal polarization in 2017 by highlighting the Kairana exodus kairaana palaayan and the Muzaffarnagar riots as issues. Due to which Hindu votes had shifted towards BJP. But in this election the situation is completely different. This time neither Modi is the magic of Modi nor the work of Yogi Yogi government is showing any effect. The issue of non-procurement of crops and payment of sugarcane arrears in the election has become quite overshadowed. Due to which the farmers are angry with the BJP government. People have been troubled by the corruption spread at the police station level. The young man is not getting a job. Due to which unemployment has become an important issue. The effect of the farmers’ movement Kissan Andolan is being seen in these 55 seats.
