UP Assembly Elections 2022: Voting will be held for the sixth phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections tomorrow i.e. on Thursday. In this phase, voting will be held in 57 assembly constituencies of 10 districts. State Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that all preparations have been completed for the sixth phase of elections. Voting will begin at 7 am on Thursday and will continue till 6 pm. In this phase, more than two crore 14 lakh voters will be able to exercise their franchise. In this phase, the political fate of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is contesting the assembly elections for the first time, will be decided. In his constituency Gorakhpur, several candidates are in the fray, including Samajwadi Party’s Subhavati Shukla and Azad Samaj Party president Chandrashekhar Azad.

Voting will be held in these districts
In the sixth phase, voting will be held in 57 assembly constituencies of Ambedkar Nagar, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and Ballia districts in ten districts of UP. Of the 57 seats in this phase, 11 are reserved for scheduled castes. In the 2017 assembly elections, 46 of these 57 seats were won by the BJP and 2 by its allies Apna Dal (S) and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SUBHSP). Who gets how many seats this time, it will be decided after Thursday’s voting.
Polling has been held in 292 seats in five phases so far in the proposed seven phases of 403 assembly seats in the state and 111 seats are yet to go to polls in the last two phases on March 3 and March 7 respectively.
