Lucknow. On the second day of the winter session of Uttar Pradesh Assembly, CM Yogi gave a befitting reply to the opposition’s questions on dengue. Especially attacking the Leader of Opposition, he said that the statement given regarding treatment in a private hospital, remember that this is a double engine government, it not only says but also shows by doing. In fact, the Leader of Opposition had alleged that people are not getting treatment for dengue in government hospitals and people are forced to seek treatment in private hospitals. Deputy CM and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak was answering the questions of Leader of Opposition and SP MLAs. Amidst the noise of opposition MLAs, CM Yogi stood up and selectively answered all the allegations.
If you listen to the complete answer, you will start remembering old history.
CM Yogi said that he is getting the same answer to the question asked by the opposition on dengue. When the question itself was upside down, there was an attempt to correct that upside down question. Right now you have heard only half the answer, if you listen to it completely then perhaps old history will start coming to your mind. CM Yogi said that the government was already aware about dengue. The government has made serious efforts to control communicable diseases through inter-departmental coordination. You have only talked about dengue, but when we talk about vector borne diseases, along with dengue, diseases like malaria, chikungunya, kala azar also come in it. A coordinated effort has been made at the government level for the treatment of all these related diseases, be it vector-borne diseases or water-borne diseases. It is through that coordinated effort that a special campaign for communicable disease control is run three times a year. The health department, being the nodal department, controls these programs in coordination with all other departments through awareness as well as interdepartmental coordination for the first 15 days. After this, through Dastak campaign, going door to door and making arrangements to provide treatment facilities to any person suffering from fever in the nearest health centre.
CM explained to the opposition the geography of diseases in the entire state
Referring to the region-wise diseases in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh is a state with a population of 25 crores and naturally, having different climatic zones, different diseases are seen in different areas. If you look from Eastern UP to Terai of Nepal till Sahanpur, the entire area was affected by encephalitis. If you look at the area around Bareilly and Badaun, it was more infected with malaria. If you reach from Varanasi to Firozabad and Agra via Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, this entire area is affected by dengue. If we look at Bundelkhand region, this entire region is affected by Chikungunya. Kala-azar was seen more effectively in the areas adjacent to Bihar. He said that you only worried about dengue, dengue is completely under control which is the result of timely steps taken by the government.
Blood separator units working in every district
CM Yogi said about dengue that it is a type of flu. It has its own bicycle. I am surprised that when the member who was raising this issue was shouting, I was also worried about his health. What you have said is not blood trip, it is called platelets. It is available in sufficient quantity in every district. What used to happen earlier was that we used to transfuse whole blood. Whole blood is not required for every patient, especially those with viral diseases such as dengue or multiple viruses that reduce platelet count. We provide additional supply of platelets in that situation. For this, blood separator units have been provided in every district. She is working. Everywhere better efforts have been made at the government level.
No face or religion, money is given after seeing the victim
Referring to the efforts made regarding health infrastructure in the state, CM Yogi said that the government is also providing annual health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana to 10 crore people in the state. He is getting all the facilities in any empaneled hospital, whether it is government or private hospital. The entire House is witness that every honorable member has been given the right to give Rs 25 lakh annually by the House from its own funds. Not only this, we do not give money from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on seeing the face. Whoever applies, his caste, creed and religion are not considered. He is a citizen of the suffering state, he gets good health facilities in the state, in the country or anywhere in the world, so we do not hesitate in giving money even from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. All the honorable members, even if they are sitting in the opposition, can say that their proposals come and without any discrimination, we have made funds available for them also.
During the Corona period, people have seen the evil efforts made by you.
In the end, CM Yogi again attacked Akhilesh Yadav and SP and said that the problem is not that we should go towards solving the problem, the problem is only to create chaos in the society by politicizing every issue. People had seen the malicious attempts to create dissatisfaction among the people even during the Corona period, when you were misleading people that they should not get the vaccine, this is the Modi vaccine. What is the result, during the reign of Modi ji, both the vaccines made by our scientists under his guidance are the most effective vaccines in the world. Corona epidemic cases are seen increasing in all the countries of the world. Corona is under control in India and Uttar Pradesh. There is no problem anywhere in the state. The government is fully alert on the issues raised by you. Now anyway, dengue cases are nearing an end. In the end, he took a dig at the former Medical Education Minister and said that it has been a long time since he stepped down from the post of Minister, so you might have forgotten it, so this information has been given to bring it to your notice. Had you been here, you might have got some lollipops, but you will never get them by staying there.
