Owaisi asked this question citing the place of worship law
Owaisi said that the Place of Worship Act clearly states that any religious place, wherever it was in the country on August 15, 1947, will remain in the same form. He said that many Buddhist temples have also been converted into Hindu temples, so will they be surveyed and returned to their old form? The Lok Sabha MP said that the Muslim side has challenged the ASI survey of Gyanvapi Masjid in the Allahabad High Court. The High Court has now stayed the survey and its decision is about to come. In such a situation, Yogi Adityanath has crossed the legal limit by giving a statement.
Bulldozer politics in Yogi’s statement: Owaisi
The Hyderabad MP said that the tone in which Yogi Adityanath said that if Gyanvapi is called a mosque, there will be controversy, it gives a glimpse of his bulldozer politics. If they have a bus, they will run bulldozers on everyone. Owaisi said that how the mosque which has been there for four hundred years can be removed. He said that anyway the Hindus and Muslims of Varanasi have already given an affidavit in the court. There is an agreement between the two. What will happen to that agreement?
Know what Yogi Adityanath said on Gyanvapi
However, know that Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has said that historical mistakes have been made by the Muslim side, which would be better if the proposal to rectify them comes from his side only. He said that his government is engaged in solving the issue of Gyanvapi. He claimed that there were idols of Hindu gods and goddesses inside Gyanvapi. He said that these idols were not kept by Hindus. Yogi asked, ‘If there is Gyanvapi mosque, then what is Trishul doing there?’
Allahabad High Court’s decision will come on August 3
It should be noted that the District Court of Varanasi has ordered the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a survey of the Gyanvapi complex. The Muslim side appealed against this in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court put a temporary stay on the survey and asked the Muslim side to file an appeal in the High Court. The Allahabad High Court also stayed the survey till 3 August. Now the decision of the High Court will come on August 3, then it will be known whether the survey will start or not. Before this the statement of the UP CM came.
