Lucknow. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is making the dream of the children of the poor to study in private schools come true. Under the Right to Education Act 2009 (RTE), a new record has been created in the current academic session 2022-23. Never before has such a large number of poor children been admitted in private schools. In the previous governments, only nominal admissions were done under the RTE Act. CM Yogi has given instructions to provide free and compulsory quality education to the eligible children at the primary level under RTE. RTE has reserved seats in private schools for economically weaker sections and socially disadvantaged sections. For the first time in the current academic session 2022-23, the Basic Education Department has enrolled more than one lakh 30 thousand poor children in two lotteries. Whereas for the third lottery, applications can be made till June 10. Its lottery will be out on 15th June and admission will be done till 30th June. Director of Basic Education Department Sarvendra Vikram Singh told that the process of admission in private schools under RTE is online. Action is also taken against private schools for refusing to admit the selected students.
Only 21 thousand in SP government, then five lakh children are studying in Yogi government
During the tenure of CM Yogi, the dream of education of poor children in private schools is being realized in true sense. The RTE Act was implemented in the country only in 2009, but only 21 thousand children were admitted in the Samajwadi Party government. Whereas in Yogi government till the academic session 2021-22, three lakh 41 thousand children are studying in private schools and in the current session 2022-23, more than one lakh 31 thousand children have been admitted in private schools, breaking their own records. . Whereas in the last academic session, about one lakh children were admitted.
