New Delhi. A strange case of theft has come to light in Muzaffarnagar police station civil line area, where a woman wearing a burqa stole an expensive lehenga from the shop and no one even came to know about it. The case pertains to a readymade garment shop located at Church Market in the Civil Lines area. The theft has been caught on CCTV camera. After which the shopkeeper has filed a complaint in the Civil Lines police station while complaining about the matter. At present, work is being done to trace the woman on the basis of CCTV. There is anger among the traders after this incident.
Burqa gang is active in Muzaffarnagar
The theft took place at Sanjay Batla’s readymade garment shop. Which is one of the most famous shops in the market. There was a huge crowd at the shop due to the festival of Eid. Then a Mahima wearing a burqa came and asked to show the clothes. The employees were engaged in showing the clothes to the customers, these women wearing the same burqa at first kept on changing the clothes on the pretext of seeing the clothes and as soon as they got the opportunity, hid the expensive lehenga on the burqa and fled from the spot. However, everything was captured in the CCTV installed in the shops. It was only on the basis of CCTV that the shopkeeper came to know that the lehenga had been stolen. On coming to know about the incident, the victim shopkeeper lodged a complaint in the police station civil line.

Traders are continuously demanding action against the accused. According to the shopkeeper, the lehenga that has been stolen is worth Rs 8500. Let us tell you that in Muzaffarnagar, women wearing burqa have committed many theft incidents in the past. There was a gang of burqa-clad women working there which was recently arrested by the police. The police had recovered a huge amount of jewelery and money from the women. At present, the police are trying to trace the woman on the basis of CCTV.
