New Delhi. The state government is going to make the path of weavers more easy. The state government will implement the new textile policy 2022 in June in consultation with experts. Under which an investment of 01 thousand crores will be brought in five years. A new scheme will be implemented to encourage powerloom operation from solar energy. On behalf of the Department of Handlooms and Textiles, 500 solar looms will be made and distributed among the weavers. The work of giving benefits to the applicants will be done on a war footing while promoting this new scheme to be implemented by the department in the state in June for the next six months. This will give more opportunities to the weavers.
The Yogi government aims that in the next five years, the weavers should get the direct benefits of the schemes. Work will be done to connect weavers with new technology and schemes. So that they can easily keep pace with technology while doing their work faster. Yogi government aims to provide employment to one person from every family in the next five years. Along with this, the economy of the state became the number one economy in the country. In such a situation, according to the new strategy from the department, now the work is being done at the ground level at a rapid pace.
As per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the action plan for the coming 100 days has been prepared by the department. By June, the process of setting up about 115 export oriented textile industries will be started with an investment of 3000 crores. The foundation stone of this scheme will be laid in July. With this, commercial production will be started by September 2025. The Department of Handlooms and Textiles organizes training and skill development programs according to the need of the weavers. Actively works to facilitate industrial environment to promote investment in the textiles sector. Along with this, it works to provide financial grants and incentives to attract capital investment under the Textiles Policy.
