New Delhi / Lucknow. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is working in mission mode to give global recognition to the products of the districts through one district, one product. In this episode, in the 41st Indian International Trade Fair 2022, running from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan in the national capital, a crowd of people is being seen at the stalls of major products of UP (ODOP). From Varanasi’s pink meenakari to Gorakhpur’s terracotta, Agra’s marble inlay, Lucknow’s chikankari, Kannauj’s perfume, Kanpur’s leather products on display at UP Gallery, attract visitors . It is worth mentioning that the State Chief Secretary DS Mishra inaugurated the UP Gallery, while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also appreciated the products of UP by coming to the fair.
Large participation of UP in the fair
The International Trade Fair is held every year from 14 to 27 November. It provides an important opportunity to showcase the economic industrial progress of the country. Through the organization of this fair, each state of the country and the concerned departments of the Government of India display their excellent products. Uttar Pradesh is also participating in the fair as the focus state like last year. Excellent products of MSME industries, exporters, handicrafts and ODOP entrepreneurs are being displayed by the state in this fair. Excellent industrial infrastructure works being done in the state by UPCIDA, Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authority are also being displayed here. Apart from this, Indian Institute of Packaging is also demonstrating regarding the packaging of ODOP products.

The products of Uttar Pradesh being displayed in the UP gallery under ODOP include Pink Meenakari of Varanasi, Terracotta of Gorakhpur, Marble Inlay of Agra, Chikankari of Lucknow, Perfume of Kannauj, Leather products of Kanpur etc. Along with this, live demonstrations of Tarkashi of Mainpuri, Chikankari of Lucknow, Pink Meenakari of Varanasi and Marble inlay of Agra are being done by the handicraftsmen. There is a huge crowd of people coming to see and buy these products. Not only the guests from all over the country but also from all over the world have shown their interest in these products. This year, according to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the theme of the fair has been kept on the concept of “Vocal for Local, Local to Global”. On the basis of this, along with the traditional products of the state, the products of the exporters are also being showcased. It may be known that through this opportunity, the state government is trying to market its major products at the global level. Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also gifted the state’s products to the heads of states of the member countries during the G20 summit in Bali. All these activities will be helpful in realizing the goal of the state becoming a one trillion dollar economy.
