The Mahaparinirvana site of Tathagata Lord Buddha, who gave the message of truth, non-violence, love and humanity to the whole world, is preparing to record the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in golden letters on his holy Praktya festival (Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima) in Kushinagar. This will be the first time that a Prime Minister of the country will worship Buddha at his Mahaparinirvana Sthal on his birth anniversary. The PM will also visit Lumbini (Nepal), the birthplace of Lord Buddha, via Kushinagar on the same day. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a thorough review of the preparations and security arrangements to reach the Mahaparinirvan site on Saturday, taking no stone unturned to make the Prime Minister’s program historic in Kushinagar on Buddha Purnima on Monday. Investigated every point and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. He said that every arrangement should be chalked out on the arrival of the Prime Minister.
In view of PM Modi’s visit to Kushinagar and Lumbini on Monday, May 16, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Kushinagar directly from Varanasi on Saturday. He closely examined the entire system from the helipad for the PM to the main Mahaparinirvana temple. While taking stock of the preparations, CM Yogi offered prayers in front of the statue of Lord Buddha in the Mahaparinirvana temple and also offered chevre. After this, he held a meeting with the officials of the administration and police in the Kushinagar International Airport complex and discussed the preparations and security arrangements and gave necessary instructions.
PM to worship Tathagata Buddha in Mahaparinirvana temple
On Monday, PM Modi will offer a chevre to the Mahaparinirvana Mandir temple by offering special worship to the lying statue of Lord Buddha. A delegation of Buddhist monks, including AB Dnyaneshwar, president of the Bhikshu Sangh, will be present in the temple during the offering of the chivar. The Prime Minister will spend some time in meditation at the Mahaparinirvana temple. During this, he will also donate chiver and sangdaan to Buddhist monks of various monasteries and monasteries.
CM will reach with Governor to receive PM
On Monday, CM Yogi will reach Lucknow with Governor Anandiben Patel to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kushinagar. PM’s arrival at Kushinagar International Airport is likely at 9:30 am. On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Lumbini (Nepal) by helicopter from the place of Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana Nirvana.
PM Modi coming to Mahaparinirvana site for the second time in seven months
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting the Mahaparinirvana site of Lord Buddha for the second time within seven months. Earlier, he had come here on October 20 to inaugurate the Kushinagar International Airport. Then on the date of Ashwin Purnima, he offered prayers at the Mahaparinirvana temple and offered a chiver to the statue of Tathagata.
Saturday’s inauguration-foundation ceremony postponed due to state mourning
The inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Mahant Digvijaynath Memorial Park in Gorakhpur at 4 pm on Saturday has been postponed. Due to the declaration of state mourning by the Government of India on the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, the ceremony will now take place on Sunday from 10:30 am. During the ceremony, CM Yogi will inaugurate 40 projects costing Rs 33.16 crore and lay foundation stone for 21 projects costing Rs 111.33 crore.
