New Delhi. Under the Skill Development Mission, the state government will provide vocational training to 10 lakh youth in five years. After the training, the efficiency of the youth will increase, as well as better employment opportunities will be available.
Yogi government is constantly trying to connect people with employment. The government aims to provide employment to at least one member of each family in the state in the next five years. Vocational training has been given to 10 lakh youth in the next five years under the Government Skill Development Mission. After the training, the work efficiency of the youth will increase and better manpower will be available in the state. Preference will be given to industrial establishments in training providing institutions.
The government will expand skill training up to the development block level in the next five years. According to the District Skill Development Scheme, new courses will be developed so that the youth can get an opportunity to enhance their skills. In the next six months, under the New Education Policy-2020, skill training will be given to girl students of secondary and higher classes. Ground staff will be trained in the aviation sector in collaboration with the Government Aviation Department. Along with this, more than ten thousand youth will be trained in the construction sector.
The government plans to set up a skill university in the state. In the next six months, the feasibility study and land will be selected for the university.
Significantly, it is the first state in the country to set up the Skill Development Mission. The Yogi government has trained 9.25 lakh youths under the Skill Development Mission in the last five years. More than 4.21 lakh have been employed.
