A tragic accident happened during a wedding ceremony in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. During a ritual at the time of marriage in Naurangiya village of Kushinagar, 30 people fell simultaneously in a well. 13 people have been confirmed dead in this accident. Including 9 children. About one and a half dozen women have been seriously injured in the accident.
According to the information, on Thursday, the son of Parmeshwar Kushwaha, a resident of School Tola in Naurangiya village of Nebua Naurangiya police station area, was to be married. During this, the women and girls of the house had gone to the well located in the village at around 8.30 pm during the rituals of turmeric during the marriage ceremony. Along with him, children also went there. After this, the lid made on the well stood on the slab and started watching the dance. Suddenly, in the meantime, the slab broke and fell into the well, due to which the women including the children were buried in the well. As soon as the news of the incident was received, there was an uproar. Everyone ran towards the spot.
On getting information about the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the death of those killed in the accident. He has directed the officers of the district administration to reach the spot immediately and conduct rescue and relief work and provide proper treatment to the injured in the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences, describing the incident as “heart-breaking” and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He wrote, “The accident in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in this. Along with this, I wish the injured a speedy recovery. The local administration is engaged in all possible help.”
In the matter, DM Rajalingam said that financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each would be provided to the families of the deceased in the Nebua Naurangiya accident. Strict action will be taken against those who are found to be negligent in the rescue operation. In the matter, the villagers complained to the officials that the ambulance took a long time to arrive, while the police arrived shortly after.
