New Delhi. Such cases are coming to the fore in the country for a long time, which are creating disputes between religions. Not long ago, there was a ruckus in the country regarding a poster of a documentary film Kali. In this poster that surfaced on social media, Maa Kali was shown smoking as well as an LGBTQ flag was also seen in one of the hands of Maa Kali. An FIR has also been lodged against filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in states like Delhi, UP and Mumbai regarding this poster. Apart from this, Delhi Court also sent summons (ie call to appear) against the filmmaker.

Now once again the matter of insulting Hindu deities has come to light. An FIR has been lodged against the magazine “The Week” in Kanpur for inciting religious sentiments. BJP leader Prakash Sharma has given a complaint against the magazine in Kotwali. In his Tahrir, BJP leader Prakash Sharma has written that the magazine has published objectionable photos of Lord Shiva and Mother Kali. Due to which the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt. Kotwali SHO Arun Kumar Tiwari has said in this matter that a case has been registered and it is being investigated.

“Action should be taken against the magazine”

Speaking to a newspaper, BJP leader Prakash Sharma said, “On July 30, he returned to Kanpur from Delhi. Bought The Week magazine published on 24 July from a book stall in Central Station. Objectionable photos of Lord Shiva and Mother Kali were printed on pages 62 and 63 of the magazine. Such pictures hurt the sentiments of Hindus.”

Further, BJP leader Prakash Sharma said, “I want whoever has a censor board in the country. He should ban these magazines and stop such things. It is my demand from the administration and the government that action should be taken against this magazine. Prakash Sharma said, “This is not the first time this has happened. When someone has printed or written an objectionable photo or article against or against Hindu gods and goddesses. In different platforms of social media, Hindu religion or gods and goddesses associated with it are being made fun of. But the government and the police are not taking any steps for this.”
