New Delhi. In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, due to continuous heavy rains for the last 24 hours, many areas have been flooded. A house collapsed in Dilkusha area of the city due to rain. 9 people have died due to the collapse of this house. Due to water logging in many areas, people are facing all kinds of problems. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain today and tomorrow as well.
Amidst all this, Lucknow Commissioner Roshan Jacob visited these areas on Friday morning and inspected the waterlogging. Commissioner Roshan Jacob himself entered the water and reached to take stock of the areas where the water is filled.
These areas include Jankipuram, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Riverfront Colony etc. Commissioner Roshan Jacob gave orders to the officials while giving assurance to the residents to get rid of this water logging problem. This video of Commissioner Jacob is now going viral on social media. People are seen praising Roshan Jacob fiercely and calling him a loyal and honest officer towards his work.
Meanwhile, an advisory has been issued regarding heavy rains in Lucknow. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the state till September 17. On behalf of the district administration, people have been instructed to take full precautions.
