He said that there is no compulsion for this and people are not being recruited forcibly.

Gen Singh said that joining the army is at his will. This is not a compulsion. If anyone wants to join, he or she wants to. We do not forcefully recruit soldiers. If you don’t like Agneepath scheme, don’t join it. Who is asking you to come? The Union Minister said that the country’s oldest party (Congress) is finding fault in the better works of the Central Government, as it is angry with the ED’s questioning of Rahul Gandhi. General Singh said that Congress is trying to create unrest in the country by misleading the youth. Let us inform that Priyanka Gandhi had said yesterday that the Agneepath scheme is a disastrous step for the youth and the army. Priyanka had told its treatment to remove the Modi government at the center.
Former army chief General VK Singh said that the army is neither an employment agency, nor a company nor a shop. He said that people join the army of their own free will to serve the country. Violence and arson have taken place in all the states including Bihar since the day after the announcement of Agneepath scheme. So far more than 1000 people have been arrested in this case. Bihar itself has witnessed the highest number of incidents of violence. Here the coaches and engines of about 10 trains were burnt by the protesters. Apart from this, vehicles of common people were also set on fire outside Lakhisarai station. Rs 3 lakh was also looted by miscreants from Bigha station.
