New Delhi: Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal The Supreme Court will give its decision in some time whether he will get interim bail or not. Earlier, ED and Arvind Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi gave his arguments. At the same time, SG Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of the Centre, opposed the hearing of interim bail of Arvind Kejriwal arrested in the Delhi liquor scam case and said that it is not right. He (CM Arvind Kejriwal) should also be treated like a common man. Actually, Tushar Mehta said this when the Supreme Court said that this is an extraordinary situation.
In fact, during the hearing on Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail case, Justice Khanna remarked that this is an extraordinary situation and he is the Chief Minister of Delhi. There is no other case against him. Justice Sanjiv Khanna remarked that we can say that the arrest was correct and still grant interim bail and then reform ourselves. we can. On this, SG Tushar Mehta said that no wrong message should be sent from the country’s biggest court. If this happens then it will be unfortunate.
Kejriwal demanded Rs 100 crore… ED argued in SC, judge said – show the file of Manish Sisodia
After this the Supreme Court said that we do not want to make any comment. We understand your emergencies. On this, SG Tushar Mehta said that you should not make this an exception. This will discourage a common man. That means if you are the Chief Minister, you will get different treatment. If this happens then every citizen of the country will file a petition seeking bail. Tushar Mehta opposed the interim bail hearing and said that he should be treated like a common man. Are campaigns more important in elections? Five thousand leaders will be lodged in the jails of the country.
When for the first time…in whose statement Kejriwal’s name was mentioned? Supreme Court asked questions to ED, ASG Raju said – Buchi Babu…
Supreme Court judge Justice Khanna further said that we cannot decide this case immediately. National elections come every five years. This is not a crop which is sown every 6 months. This is a completely different matter. After this, SG Tushar Mehta said that if a farmer has to take care of his fields and a grocery shop owner has to go to his shop, then how can a Chief Minister be considered different from a common man. Are we making an exception for a section of politicians as Class A, will election campaigning be more important than a person who wants to run a grocery shop?
The Supreme Court also said that after 9 summons, he (Arvind Kejriwal) has not appeared before the investigating agency for 6 more months, we are taking that on record. Justice Khanna said that we grant interim bail in exceptional circumstances. This time will not come again. Habitual criminals are a different matter. Suppose if we reserve the decision then we will have to hear it. But it also has to be seen that this period will not come back. We have been granting interim bail in exceptional cases. Arvind is not a habitual criminal.
