The woman got the job of a nurse in a government hospital with her own efforts. On Sunday, around 1 pm, the husband entered the room with his two companions. Renu was sleeping at that time. According to Renu, the husband and his friends put a pillow on her face to suppress her screams and then severed her hand from the wrist. All three fled with the amputated wrist part. According to Renu, she will also recognize both the companions of her husband.
According to Ketugram police, Sher Mohammad did not want his wife to take up the job of a government nurse. He thought that the wife would get transferred somewhere and he would lose control over Renu. He fled with the severed hand so that the hand could not be reattached. Renu’s father Azizul Haque says that the daughter’s dream was to serve the society, but that all ended. From the day the daughter’s name appeared in the panel, her husband threatened that she would not allow her to work. West Bengal Women’s Commission’s Leena Gangopadhyay has said that justice will be provided to the woman at any cost.
