New Delhi : Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, while participating in the proceedings of Parliament on Wednesday, congratulated Om Birla on being elected the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. He also expressed his concern about the Dalits in front of the House, appealing to Om Birla for protection. He said, Sir, our people are in a very bad condition. Along with this, the MP said that he needs a lot of support from you and the House to put forward his point.
In his speech, Chandrashekhar Azad first congratulated Om Birla for being re-appointed as the Lok Sabha Speaker. He said, “Congratulations to you for being elected to the highest post in the Lok Sabha. Many members have praised you and I myself have met you and when I had a problem, you protected me.”
He further said, “Sir, we are a new party and I am the free voice of my people. I appeal to you for protection and hope you will do so.” Chandrashekhar wished the entire House on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj, the father of reservation, and finally made an important request. He said, “Sir, our people are in very bad condition. If we do not get a chance, we will not be able to present our views.”
